Jazz Foundations
Jazz lessons at this level would focus on building a foundation in the harmony, rhythm, and vocabulary used in jazz guitar.
Depending on your experience, we may look at seventh chords, simple chord voicings, ii-V-I progressions, chord tones, arpeggios, voice leading, basic improvisation, and approachable jazz standards.
The theory will be connected to actual music as much as possible. Recordings can help us hear what the chords and ideas are doing before worrying about giving everything a name.
This path focuses on the foundations of jazz rather than advanced jazz study, and is not a fixed curriculum.
